What it is
Digital literacy is the ability to find, judge, create, and share information with digital tools, and to use those tools safely and responsibly.
Why it matters at work
Nearly every job uses digital tools now. AI adds a new piece: knowing when to trust what a tool produces and when to check it.
In the real world
Technology is my business. I repair computers and build AI automations for small businesses, and I use AI tools every day. The biggest lesson: verify what AI produces instead of trusting it blindly.
I also manage a nonprofit's social media accounts, which means protecting logins and respecting the privacy of the people it serves.
